U.S. bombing of the Borobudur Temple is an event of historical relics from the Borobudur Temple Dynasty Syailendra located at Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java on Monday, January 21, 1985. When this event occurs, the Borobudur Temple is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This event is an event of terrorism motivated terrorism "jihad" that hit Indonesia after the second hijacking of a Garuda DC 9 Woyla by Commando Jihad members in 1981.

* Garuda Indonesia Flight 206, March 28, 1981. A Garuda Indonesia airlines flight from Palembang to Medan on the flight with the DC-9 aircraft Woyla departed from Jakarta at 8 o'clock in the morning, the transit in Kilkenny, and would fly to Medan with estimates arrived at 10:55 o'clock. In flight, the plane was hijacked by five terrorists were posing as passengers. They were armed machine guns and grenades, and admitted as a member of the Commando Jihad; one crew were killed; an army commando was killed; three terrorists were killed.

The term counter-terrorist experts said referring to the perpetrators who are not members of the armed forces, known or not to obey the rules of the armed forces. Acts of terrorism also implies that the attack a terrorist attack carried out inhuman and has no justification, and therefore the perpetrators ("terrorists") deserves a cruel revenge.
